Patricia Shields Pat joined the compression therapy field as a certified fitter in 1989, in Rochester NY. She was actively involved with the medical and local community to enhance the concept of compression therapy, particularly for Wound Care and Lymphedema. In 1993 she designed and opened the original Southside Women’s Center which concentrated on the treatment of Lymphedema.

Pat expanded her work in compression therapy as a sales representative for both Sigvaris, Inc and, later, BSN-Jobst covering NY and NJ. While at Sigvaris, she held the position of Manager of Education. Pat held training seminars for physicians, medical personnel as well as certification classes for new fitters.

As a result of her background knowledge and experience in compression therapy, Pat has presented at the Wound Care Symposium (San Antonio, TX), at the Huntleigh Health Care Symposium (Albuquerque, NM) and at MedTrade in New Orleans, LA.

Pat, now considered the most experienced and advanced certified fitter in NJ and metropolitan NY, joined NEOPS in 2007.
