 Art
Shea, CPO, is a certified prosthetist
and board eligible orthotist. Art brings over 10 years of orthotic and
prosthetic experience to our Worcester Massachusetts patient care office.
His education includes a BA in physics and a degree in prosthetics from
Florida International University.
Art has extensive experience in prosthetics including upper and lower
extremities, immediate post op (IPOP), anatomically correct sockets, and
myoelectric controlled "Utah" and "Otto Bock") arms.
His orthotic experience includes spinal, hip, foot orthotics (from sports
to diabetic applications) and footwear.
His career runs from Defense Engineering to organizing shelters. Art states
"I wish I had found this profession first. Orthotics and prosthetics
has all the ingredients I find fulfilling- working one-on-one to help
a patient, making the finished product with my own hands, and using my
technical skills to accomplish the goal"
"I love being able to reduce a patients' pain and/or increase their
mobility".
