Ryan Murphy , CPO and Prosthetist, is the co-manager and partner of our New York City office. Ryan has over 10 years of professional experience in prosthetics and orthotics. He is the fourth generation in his family and seventh family member to be involved in the profession.

Ryan's formal education includes his B.S. degree from Florida International University.

He has taken special courses in the following:

• Ischial containment design prosthetics
• Otto Bock course on the indications/contraindication for knee and prescription criteria
• Otto Bock course on myoelectrics

He affiliates at the following New York Hospitals:

• Hospital for Joint Disease
• Elmhurst Hospital
• St. Vincent's Hospital
• Beth Israel Hospital

Along with the hospitals listed above Ryan affiliates with many of New York's most prestigious orthopedists, vascular and physical medicine specialists.

During his years of affiliation with the family business he gained extensive experience in congenital deformities and working with those patients who had extensive trauma scarring.

Cosmesis is of course a priority to the patient and it is Ryan's specialty. He has extensive experience with pediatric orthotics and emphasizes the importance of making the session a pleasant one for our special little patient and their family. He uses a quiet cast cutter in order not to scare the child.
