David has been in the field of orthotic and prosthetics for over 25 years. He received his Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 1981 by the American Board of Certification. His undergraduate degree was from the University of Washington, School of Medicine in 1979. He has been the Director of Orthotics and Prosthetics at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, New York and The Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, New York. Through his experiences at these hospitals, David has developed an affinity for the field of rehabilitative medicine. His areas of expertise and continued interests are lower extremity prosthetics, bio-mechanics of the lower extremity and orthotic treatment of the neurologically impaired patient. For the past ten years, David has been teaching orthotics and prosthetics to doctorate physical therapy students at New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York. David and his wife live in Ridgefield and their two daughters are attending college.
