| Greg
Carford, CO
Greg was introduced to orthotics and prosthetics after a motorcycle accident in 1992. He had been a heavy machine operator for a construction company. Greg's main asset in patient care is that he himself was a patient having spent over 6 months in the hospital and over and year and a half in physical therapy having to learn to walk again. During this time Greg went through several stages of physical rehabilitation using many devices including a hip knee ankle foot orthosis, a knee ankle foot orthosis, and an articulated ankle foot orthosis which he currently wears. He graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2000 and received his certificate from Newington Certificate Program in Orthotics in 2001. His orthotic residency was at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. In 2003 he graduated from the prosthetic program at Newington. Currently, he is doing his prosthetic residency under David Bow. Greg's areas of expertise are spinal, lower extremity orthosis, and, the orthotic treatment of pediatric patients. He and his wife live in Rowayton.
